The word ecumenical comes from the root Greek word "oikos" which means house. The word oikoumene as used in the Bible means God's whole inhabited earth or the whole world.
This site is dedicated to the visionary ecumenical men and women of the present and past, and the various organisations, movements and people which have formed and are still creating the oikumene.
This open window and portal of the ecumenical movement, shares the diversity and tensions of the ecumenical movement as experienced from different perspectives and realities.
We invite you to explore the site, join in the forums / discussions, explore the theological and multi-religious dimensions and enjoy taking part in the ecumenical movement - ecumenical spaces - ecumenical visions - on-line.

C O U R A G E:
is almost a contradiction in terms. It means a strong desire to live, taking the form of readiness to die.
